A cPanel Cloud Hosting Provider Detuted In Europe

Cloud.bg, a fully featured cloud hosting service has been launched in one of European Union member countries - Bulgaria. The company that launched the service, available through the local www.cloud.bg/en, stated that it is a "standards based cloud, delivered from a fully redundant and scalable clustered architecture built on Red Hat Cluster Suite and on Fuscan Linux Cloud, a cloud hosting automation platform of the U.S. software producer Single OS".

The Fuscan LBC, the platform used by Cloud.bg to automate the web hosting cloud debuted last year as Silver sponsor of HostingCon 2009, the largest conference and expo in the hosting industry. One of the research and development leader Tier1 Research featured Fuscal Linux Cloud in their reports by saying:
Single OS is basically a cloud infrastructure-enabling technology. It is built on the Red Hat Cluster Suite with a kernel-based VM virtualization layer. On top of this, there is an automation piece – named Fuscan – that manages the cloud infrastructure through a control panel interface and enables pay-per-use billing. Another layer of technology makes use of Virtuozzo containers, enabling service providers to run virtual environments on top of the redundant, high-availability architecture. The SingleOS technology is designed for service providers and enables them to build a cloud platform that is similar in concept to something like Rackspace's Cloud Sites, with automated redundancy. The company claims the platform also seamlessly scales, and this would be a capability that could give it a chance to draw some attention in the marketplace (more details on this are coming). The technology will be ideal for high-traffic websites and content publishers. The platform runs on Linux and does not support Windows.

The new European cloud hosts its infrastructure in a data center operated by Interoute, a UK data center solutions provider, which has 59 data centers and fiber optic network of twelve rings connecting 93 cities in 26 countries.

cPanel/WHM On The Cloud

Cloud.bg says it operates a fully redundant, scalable clustered infrastructure and cloud platfrom which runs cPanel/WHM on the cloud. The cPanel cloud hosting service features 100 GB of space in a storage area network, 1,000 GB data transfer per month and allows site owners to host up to 100 personal and small-business websites. The company's officials say that the main advantage of the new cloud is that it brings cPanel / WHM the most popular web hosting control panel and web hosting manager suite on the cloud.

"I think that we are probably the first hosting provider in Europe to use cPanel/WHM to deliver web hosting services from the cloud. Thanks to Fuscan LBC, a unique Cloud platform of SingleOS we have managed to automate our clustered server infrastructure we have built in 2009 and to launch fully featured cPanel based on cloud hosting service", says Dimitar Avramov, the CEO of the Cloud.bg. He adds that his development team appreciates a lot the support of cPanel Inc. "They have been very helpful and co-operative in the process of integrating cPanel/WHM control panel on the cloud", adds the CEO of Cloud.bg.

Cloud Hosting that works good for all European users. The web host has tested the connectivity of its infrastructure from different point in Europe and shared the results.

The average latency for European home users who ping Cloud.bg ranges from 10 ms to 60 ms. Pinged from London Cloud.bg is reachable for 47 ms, from Ljubljana, Slovenia - 35 ms, from Paris - 75 ms, from Madrid - 87, from Berlin - 47 ms, from Sofia, Bulgaria - 1.5 ms, etc. The average latency fro Israel is 105 ms.
