NetHosting To Offer Enkompass Control Panel Based Windows Hosting

NetHosting, an established provider of Dedicated, and VPS hosting services announced that it expanded its service offering to include the of Enkompass, cPanel’s newest Windows-compatible web hosting control panel.

Designed to operate with Microsoft IIS7 and Windows Server 2008, the Enkompass model takes directly from the effective and intuitive interface of cPanel/WHM for Linux, with a few alterations intended for Windows-only application. The close resemblance of the two products enables staff and customers alike who are familiar with cPanel/WHM to make a smooth transition to Enkompass.

Data Center Provider Expedient Expands In Ohio

Expedient recently announced their expansion into the Columbus, Ohio market. The company is about to open its latest, state of the art data center active for customers by January 1, 2011. The new facility is located at 5000 Arlington Center in Upper Arlington and it will be the first Expedient data center in the Columbus area and the eighth data center the web host operates across 6 cities.

Company's data centers typically serve a mix of local and national companies, who choose to host their critical business computer systems and applications in secure, utility-redundant facilities.

The facility in Upper Arlington was used as an internal data center by the previous property owners, but Expedient will invest millions of dollars in market startup costs and improvements to the facility in order to meet the requirements of its customers. The new data center will feature 8,000 square feet of raised floor computing space, which will support the company’s growth model for several years.

The data center will have top tier features including; dual commercial power feeds, redundant generators, N+2 cooling systems, multi-carrier telecommunications infrastructure, multiple tiered security system, fire suppression system and a fully staffed, 24×7x365 Operations Support Center (OSC). Expedient has had a consistent pattern of strong growth over the years; the Columbus data center will be the third new facility the company has opened in as many years on top of several expansions to existing data centers. The other seven data centers are located in Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis (dba nFrame), Boston and Baltimore (dba DataPoint).

Future Hosting Announced Improved VPS Hosting Services

Future Hosting has announced full-scale upgrades across its entire line of web hosting services. The web host says that all existing customers will be automatically given a 50% increase in disk space and bandwidth, depending upon the level of the hosting package. The minimum monthly bandwidth quote has been increased from 100 GB to 2TB.

The hosting provider said that its Virtual Private Server hosting customers can now choose managed and unmanaged plans in different locations - Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, London, Seattle, or Washington, D.C.

The company revealed that developed "Future Engineer", a technical support automation system designed to automate time consuming server configuration and repair tasks on Virtual Private Servers (VPS). "Future Engineer" allows VPS owners to receive a greater level of technical support than is available when technicians spend their time performing routine or basic maintenance tasks. With Future Engineer, technicians are free to spend their time offering a level of technical support that is unrivaled and otherwise unaffordable.
